Digital camera reviews of UltraShip 55 lb. Digital Postal Shipping & Kitchen ScaleDigital camera Review: A must for online selling Summary: 5 Stars
This scale was featured on Leo Laporte's Daily Giz Wiz segment. I am extremely happy with this purchase, much better than anything at the office supply store. Don't let the 'kitchen' in the title fool you. You can use this as your main/only shipping scale for your home business for packages up to 55 lbs.
A poster tube holder, removable display...if you sell online you have got to have a shipping scale. And this is a great choice.
Digital camera Review: A very durable postal scale Summary: 5 Stars
A toy? Amazon classified this as a toy, very funny. I have to admit we sometime use it as a toy to weigh our toddlers, and they love it!
This an excellent digital postal scale, very durable, easy to switch units and most important, very accurate.
Pretty happy with it, highly recommended to anyone who need a decent postal scale or need to monitor kids weight (less than 55lb though).
Digital camera Review: Accurate and consistent, and quite clever Summary: 5 Stars
I am very pleased with this product.
Number one is that it seems to be accurate and consistent.
Number two is you can get your readout in pounds, fractions of pounds, ounces, kilograms or grams with a single weigh.
Number 3 is it takes "tare" into consideration. So you can put your container on the scale, turn the scale on and it measures "zero" so you can add weight to the container without having to subtract out the weight.
I use this product to send out products via internet and need to know the weight of packages, so I appreciate the simplicity and accuracy of this product.
I highly recommend it. The appearance and price are very acceptable.
Digital camera Review: Accurate to about 5 - 10 grams Summary: 5 Stars
I wouldn't have believed it before using it but despite the 55 lb range, it is accurate to within about 10 grams (~ 0.3 oz).
The surface area is pretty small, so I put a laundry basket on top of it, set the weight to zero and then add things to the laundry basket. I know it is accurate because if I weigh a light object and find it to be, say 0.3 oz, and now add a 30 lb package and let's say it reads 31 lbs 5 oz.. if I remove the light object, the machine reads 31 lbs 4.7 oz. That's pretty remarkable.
Well, my machine is only a week old.. let's hope it keeps this accuracy.
Digital camera Review: Affordable and great way to avoid post office lines Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this to help with the onslaught of holiday package shipping. It's sturdy and does a great job for weighing absolutely everything. With this scale I was able to use the self-mailing websites of UPS and the USPS (Click N' Ship) and skip the long lines to mail things. For that alone this thing paid for itself. I also like that it can run on batteries! It doesn't give you the price of postage, but you can figure that out with the weights via those websites. They're always changing their prices anyway.
A great time saver, I will definitely continue to use this after the holidays for mailing things.
