Digital camera reviews of UltraShip 55 lb. Digital Postal Shipping & Kitchen ScaleDigital camera Review: Don't throw your money away! Summary: 1 Stars
Bought this scale for my ebay business. It worked for about a month the way it should. Then, I had to "play" with it everytime I tried to use it. I'd weigh something 3 times and get 3 different weights. Then it died completely. My brother (who can fix anything) could not get this scale to work. You get what you pay for!! Don't waste your money on this one!
Digital camera Review: Dying, dying.... Summary: 1 Stars
Bought 10/18/2010. Worked great at weighing envelopes and packages.
Now, turning on, returns a code rr-5, doesn't weigh anything.
Press ON/OFF and Tare/Zero at same time, turns on and can weigh, but only in LBS/OZ. Cannot select any other unit of measure. Will see if this item will be replaced by vendor.
Digital camera Review: EXCELLENT Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent scale that is perfect, small, portable and able to weigh up to 55lbs. GREAT DEAL!
Digital camera Review: Easy and practical scale. Summary: 5 Stars
This scale is very nice. I had priced postal scales in our local office supply store and was shocked at the prices...and some had limits to 10 lbs. This scale is substantial, very sleek, nice looking and works! It weighs in grams, kilos, lb.oz. increments, and I have found the readings quite accurate. It has a Hold button which allows you to remove your package and retain the weight. The front area would also extend out for readings on a very large package. Nice product. Saved driving to the post office, or guessing.
Digital camera Review: Easy operation. Very functional. Very versatile. Summary: 4 Stars
It came in a square box with minimal assembly required. In fact, you just need to attach the top flat portion of the scale and you are ready to go. "Battery is no included", so you have to provide your own type "C" batteries - You will need 6. I found it hard to remove the cover of the battery compartment, but nothing to fuss about. You can use an AC adapter, but you will have to buy it separately
To tell you the truth, the first thing I notice is how cheap the product looks. Mine came in silver, I probably would prefer the black. Yet there is no sure way what color you will get. What I really like about it is the simplicity of the operation, its functionality and its minimalistic design. There are only 3 buttons on the front:
- On & off
- Hold (Will hold the result for 2 minutes)
- Tare (Will deduct the weight of the container if you use one - very useful)
The other adjustment is located on the right side which cycle the units in to metric and differrent amounts.
One other thing that is very practical is the detacheable faceplate. If you have a big box, you will most likely cover the digital display which will require you to kneel to peek the display under the box. The faceplate can be extended outward with a spiral cord like the one you see on the older type of analog telephones.
Display is backlit. 55-lb capacity. Made in China.
