Like anyone, I was hesitant about replacing a $70 Canon battery with the $5 Ultralast. Since my SLR is several years old, it seemed worth the risk. The battery works great, and charges in my old Canon charger. It was perfect timing, just as my Canon battery started to not be able to hold a charge (after 30,000 shots, btw). I can't speak for longevity yet, but for $5, it's still a great value if it makes it for a 1/3 of the life of the original battery...for the price, I should've ordered an extra.Digital camera Review: Great Value

I purchased 2 of these batteries as backups to the included Canon battery for the 40D. After testing, I am using this as my main battery and the Canon as a backup. Excellent value.

I use this battery as a spare battery for my Canon 30D camera. After almost a year of use I cannot distinguish between this and Canon OEM battery in terms of battery life, quality, ease of use. No issues of any kind. However, it was about $13.50 back then. I would purchase this battery again. Great product!Digital camera Review: Great battery, great price

This battery looks just like the original Canon battery color wise and all. Did a quick charge and it's cooking like it's expensive Canon cousin. Best price I have ever paid for a camera battery.
