Digital camera reviews of Underwater Case for the Following Nikon Digital SLR Cameras: D700, D300, D200, D90, D80, D60, D5000, D40x, D40 Digital SLR CamerasDigital camera Review: worthless Summary: 1 StarsThis review has nothing to do with the vendor (Cametta). They packaged well and sent the item promptly.
This product is simply a joke. Out of a desire to do cool things in the water on the cheap (but this thing is NOT cheap for what it is) I bought it despite having my doubts. Well... BELIEVE your doubts! I feel stupid for not being more pragmatic. I read the positive reviews (are they plants?) and thought I'd give it a try and now I have to decide to return or keep just because I'm too lazy.
Where do I begin? It is basically a plastic ziploc bag I suppose. Where in the world do they come up with over a hundred dollars? It looks like it should cost perhaps $20 max. On mine the polycarb front cover has a deep blemish in the center. And there was some dust. (Contrast this with the wp-dc11 which I bought for my P&S Canon G7 which cost only slightly more and is a vastly superior product and the lens is clean.) Well I proceed to open it and find it hard to fit in my Canon 5D with a 17-40, a rather small lens.
The lens casing does NOT retract to become flush with your camera lens. The lens clunks around and inevitably your pictures will show casing edge. To operate the camera is near impossible. You can dig your fingernail in to turn the camera on or push some buttons but then you feel like you might crack the plastic. The little finger holes are a joke. I found there was no way to turn my zoom lens. I can barely see thru the viewfinder.
I tried to rationalize and say this may be useful for inclement weather or sand storms or maybe as a bag but who are we kidding. It's not even easy to pull this out of the plastic quickly for a shoot. I'm better off putting in a standard camera bag and when the weather breaks or there is mini-shelter like a tree or whatever, then I quickly pull out and shoot. This thing is worthless.
If you insist on trying as I did, then perhaps try a cheaper knockoff. It will suck too but at least you won't be ripped off. Or buy mine, brand new and never used. I'm lazy to return (and worry about vendor resistance) so it may be easier if someone pays and then I ship. Just add on to this comment with your email or other info.

Protect your Nikon digital SLR camera while swimming or snorkeling with this DiCAPac underwater camera case. Offering a guaranteed waterproof performance up to 5 meters (16 feet) deep, the case is perfect for anyone who wants to take pictures of tropical fish, coral, and other underwater wonders.
The waterproof case was tested in 2 underwater locations. | The transparent, flexible case is made of thick, high-grade vinyl, with a UV-coated polycarbonate lens cover that allows customers to take clear pictures in virtually any conditions. Plus, the unbreakable lens cover is coated with three layers--a UV coating, a scratch-resistant coating, and a water-repellent coating--so your camera lens stays safe in almost any environment. Best of all, the Roll & Velcro zipper closure system offers two levels of protection to keep your case completely watertight. Whether you're shooting in a downpour or photographing a shrimp from an underwater vantage point, the case steps to the plate. As a bonus, the camera case floats on water should you accidentally drop it from a boat. Waterproof Simulation Test DiCAPac camera cases were tested in two underwater locations: a 5-meter diving pool in Korea and at Sapang Beach in the Philippines, where it was mounted several meters beneath the water. At 5 meters, the camera performed perfectly, with all functions performing just as designed. It was more difficult to operate the manual camera controls at over 10 meters, because high water pressure was strong-arming the case. However, the case remained completely waterproof throughout. The waterproof tests indicate that the camera is protected from water, snow, rain, sand, and dust in daily life, but also functions well at the beach and in the pool. The underwater case is compatible with the following Nikon digital SLR cameras: D700, D300, D200, D90, D80, D60, D5000, D40x, and D40.
