Digital camera reviews of Underwater Housing Case for Canon Powershot SD1100, SD1000, SD890IS, SD850IS, SD790IS SD770IS, SD750, SD630, Digital CamerasDigital camera Review: Inexpensive but Wonderful Underwater Camera Housing! Summary: 4 Stars
Had my eye on the Canon Underwater Housing for my Canon Powershot but it was a little overpriced for my taste. Read the rave reviews about this camera case and opted to purchase it for a recent trip to the Bahamas. I was amazed at how well the case worked and how incredible my pictures of our snorkeling trip came out. I highly recommend this product!

Digital camera Review: It will work, but.... Summary: 3 Stars
I havent actually tried it in the water, but Im confident it will do its job. Im really picky when it comes to products because Im a professional photographer, but I have my little Canon Powershot 800IS to use. It claims to fit it, and the camera fits but, but its really loose, I can understand some loose-ness so you can hit the buttons, ect, but the lens hole and way to big, so my camera moves around and sometimes the black ring either covers some of my lens, or covers half my flash, so all the pictures I took were half dark, which is fine if you dont care or have patience to edit them in photoshop. It will work, but its not the best. I think I will just stuff some papers or something in there to make it stop moving, and thats a hassle in itself!

We just got back from Hawaii and took this with us when we went snorkling. This is a great product that keeps your camera dry. The only problem is that the case is a one-size-fits-all. Even though the description of the product said it would fit my Cannon SD-1000, the camera was very loose inside the case. You have to make sure that your camera lens is centered inside their lens ring when taking pictures, otherwise you'll get a black ring around your photos. It is very difficult to do this when underwater because there is so much free play with the camera. I solved that problem by stuffing Kleenex on the two sides and the bottom of the camera so it was wedged in the case and wouldn't move around on me. Another problem I encountered is that when I centered my camera lens in the hole, their black ring blocked half of my flash. I couldn't get the camera positioned where the lens was centered and my flash was unubstructed.
On the plus side - the case kept my camera dry and my pictures came out great. I was snorkling in shallow waters in the morning and didn't need my flash, so that didn't seem to be a problem. This is a very affordable product for underwater photography. I didn't want to spend $300 on an underwater digital camera for just a couple of days use and I've tried the disposable underwater cameras without much luck. You didn't know if you got a good picture until you had your film developed. With this product, I was able to use the camera I already had and I liked to take great unerwater shots.
I would have given this 4 stars if it had been better fit to my camera. I would highly recommend it if you don't mind taking the time to wedge your camera inside the case prior to going into the water. Once you're in the water, you can't see your display to see if your lens is centered.
Digital camera Review: It works, it's cheap, what more do you want? Summary: 5 Stars
I was somewhat skeptical when I first saw this "ziploc bag" for my camera (SD1100). The price was right though so I took the leap of faith. I only snorkel once or twice a year so I wasn't going to spend $150 or a professional case. This thing worked flawlessly. I didn't use the zoom but I really felt I didn't need it. Usually the water isn't clear enough to zoom in on anything anyway and you'll run out of light as well the farther you zoom. Sure it's not for professionals, it's for the average snorkeler....
