Having a built-in weather radio is a great feature to have. I'm an avid outdoorsman & being able to keep abreast of developing weather conditions from you car is invaluable. Also, the radio has an automatic squelch control with the option to turn it off & go manual. The display is easy to read & has 2 illumination levels that are effective in most lighting situations. The sound quality is good even if you decide to mount the unit on the top of the dash (speaker grill holes on bottom of unit). Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase & would recommend this product.

The PC68 Elite operates on any of the 40 AM frequencies authorized by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), giving you plenty of communication options. It also offers instant access to channel 9 should an emergency arise.Dynamic Squelch Control
Uniden's dynamic squelch control delivers a clear signal with less noise so that all your channels sound crisp and legible. The squelch control even reduces noise when the CB user on the other end doesn't have it, an advantage that few other squelch enhancers enjoy.
