This product has a 4 way rocker switch in the middle of all of the buttons. This switch failed on two handsets in about a year, and is failing on a third handset. When this switch fails, it significantly reduces the value of the handset as you can't use the most useful features.
Additionally, you cannot select a number from the Caller ID list and call it back if it is a long distance number. The handset refuses to insert a 1 (one) before the area code, so the phone company won't complete the call. You have to write the number down, or memorize it, and then redial the number manually.
I will not purchase a Uniden phone again.

My initial impression was that this was some sort of toy phone. It is incredibly cheap-feeling when you lift it up.
The buttons are pretty badly designed, the menu system is hard to manipulate and counter-intuitive, and the phone doesn't display the time when on standby.
The phone does have a useful 'auto-answer' feature that allows you to answer the phone as soon as you pick it up off of the charging cradle. The phone had pretty good range and wall penetration due to the DECT frequency range.
If your phone supports a higher-quality handset, I highly recommend you try something else. This handset works fine as a basic phone, but there are better designed phones by Uniden or other competitors.

I replaced several different phones in the house with one Uniden Dect 6.0 system with 6 satellites. I am totally satisfied with the clear reception on all the phones. I was having some problems before which I think was caused by my modem router. A nice feature with this system is they now have a 100 number memory and you can enter numbers into one phone and send them to all the other phones. Therefore you don't have to sit there and enter your numbers into each phone separately.Digital camera Review: Disappointed

After I received the Uniden handset and charging cradle, I charged the handset for the number of hours stated in the manual. After it was fully charged, I set the handset on the main base unit to sink with my master system. This worked fine, but after a couple of days the handset began loosing its charge. When I placed it on the charging cradle, it would not charge and finally cut off completely. All lights went out on the handset. Either the charging cradle went out or the battery died. I'm not sure exactly which one was the culprit, but I returned the product and will not buy another.Digital camera Review: Easy install great add-on.
