Digital camera Review: Horrible Phone

I have had these phone's for about six months. I got the phone and it took an abnomal amount of time to charge. I then kept getting and out of range signal (Sitting right by the base). I called customer service,which took about 30 mins to get a represenative, they then told me how to reset the phone so you wouldn't get this again....It didn't work. I have reset these phone's 10+ times. In six months of use, now the phone book and caller Id pad no longer function. I also get the complaint that people say I'm fading in and out and sometimes sound as if I'm underwater. Waste of money! I bought the Uniden 2085-3 system and this handset as an add-on. The system with 3 sets charged up completely in the 15 hours required. This extra handset would not show more than 1/3 of a charge in 20+ hours. I requested a new handset from Amazon. The new one came in a timely manner. I noticed that the new box had a broken seal and I suspected trouble but I held out hope that it would charge ok. I charged the new one for 20 hours and had the same trouble. I returned both of them but I am enjoying my new phone system minus the extra handset.Digital camera Review: Instructions were wrong

I followed the instructions in the box to "register" this additional phone to my existing system. I became more and more frustrated when it would not register and the display kept telling me "out of range". I was standing in front of the base unit. I finally called Dakmart's service people who walked me through the set up step by step. They were very helpful. Turned out, the instructions were advising me to push the wrong buttons on the handset. The instructions had said to press "send" and the "#" key. Should have been "end" and the "#" key.
After setup was successful, the unit worked just fine.

I had to buy this phone since my original one, just like it, was not functioning that well anymore. But since I already have two additional extensions/cradles of this particular phone, I had to buy this one. So far, this one is working well. I just hope that the big "square" button in the middle will still function after a year. That was the problem with my original one. It looks like this type of repair is typical for this phone, per other reviews.Digital camera Review: Just what I needed

I purchased the starter set (1 main w/extra handset) at a local store and ordered additional hand sets. It was easy to set-up and integrate into my existing system.
