We have the Uniden cordless phone, and recently had some problems with the battery lasting less than a day on a charge. Consequently, I tried to call customer service, however Uniden only offers email customer service. I finally found a Texas number for them where one has to pay to call them
This is a far cry from Panasonic or Sony which both offer free, toll-free support. Apparently, Uniden is too cheap to offer a toll-free support number, and they want you to pay for the phone call. To add insult to injury, when I did finally call their pay support number, I had to wait twenty minutes for someone to answer. Simply pathetic. I would avoid this company. Apparently Uniden does not want to put any money towards customers, so why should customers pay for their phones?

Maybe I'm asking too much to want a decent quality cordless system with no answering machine (interferes with voicemail)at a reasonable price? This phone promised to be close, and is pretty close, but the couple of complaints would have been deal breakers had I known before. First, I get a background hum on all extensions. This isn't actually as bad as it sounds as you kind of tune it out after a minute or so. But the caller ID is quite annoying. It registers area codes but has no "format" feature to add a +1 to the ID'd numbers so you can't just call a long distance number from your caller ID list.Digital camera Review: Over priced!

Several months ago I purchased this phone, which included the BASE unit with 3 handsets/bases & chargers for $99.00. The price that iSave wants for one unit, (handset) is way too high! The unit(s), themselves, work great!Digital camera Review: Pretty good clarity but problem with dropping base

Really like these phones. bought extra ones even. Two things I don't like is the handset ringer is not loud enough and every now and then it says I am out of range, but I am not that far from the base.
