I've never had a phone that couldn't read the called ID info before, and my disappoint when down from there with this alleged "phone". I actually bought three sets when Target had them on sale at christmas, thinking it would be nice to have interchangeable handsets. Bad assumption. They are incompatible with each other. I bought this phone because I had had a Uniden phone before and had no problems. Also, it was very reasonably priced. But we noticed right away that it did not have the range of our previous phone. We could not get more than 25 feet away from the base without getting static. If we went around a corner (inside of our house) we would lose the call. After only 2 months we decided to replace it. We ordered a Panasonic phone on-line (that got very high reviews) and are anxiously waiting on its arrival. We purchased this phone/answering system less than a year ago and I am ready to throw it out the window. The handsets are erratic - sometimes picking up the caller ID - sometimes not. Even when fully charged it is random as to whether the handset will work when picked up to dial a number. We have to go through the house trying the different handsets until we get lucky and find one that works. I could not be less satisfied with a product. I made the mistake of buying it in a store without researching. I will do my homework next time.Digital camera Review: Great Company, Great Product

This is the second set of Uniden phones we have bought, and for the most part we love them. The speakerphone is a great feature that gets used quite regularly. The only thing you have to remember is that background noise will activate it and cancel out what your other party is saying.
Either handset works on the main base. All you have to do is make sure they are recognized by the base.
The sound quality and ease of use on the answering machine are superb.
The only problem is that the Caller ID feature does not recognize all calls. (We have another phone in the house that does). That is my only reason for giving only 4 stars.

This phone is the best! It is so easy to set up so I did not waste alot of time! The answering machine is easy to set up to. The speaker phone works realy well too. You can also adjust the volume on the answering machine so if anyone is sleeping, you wont't wake them up. The best part is if I am in the living room or bedroom, I can answer the phone.
