I do not have a hearing problem, but my previous cordless phones were inaudible even at high volume.. this phone fills the bill -- at least so far! after reading favorable reviews of this phone online, we bought one. Finally, we have a great phone. The sound is perfectly clear. The ringer is loud enough. The caller ID display is larger than normal so it's easy to read, and I like the larger buttons. We're not elderly (mid 40's) but this phone just has a great design for anyone but is especially good for those who have trouble reading a regular caller ID display or perhaps is hard of hearing because one of the features is an optional red blinking light display when the phone rings. There is also a volume boost if you have trouble hearing the other person. I'm buying another one for my mother who is in her 80's.Digital camera Review: Good

I am a fan of 900mhz phones as they seem to avoid a lot of interference and generally work well. Given that they are quickly fading from the market, I am always on the lookout for units to "stock" to put in service when another phone in the house fails. This unit worked properly right out of the box. Only fault with this purchase was the packing when shipped, which seemed a bit substandard. In spite of that, it arrived in good working order. Bottom line: good phone, delivered promptly, got a good price..... so very satisfied.
