Digital camera reviews of Uniden TRU9465-2 5.8 GHz Digital Expandable Cordless Phone with Dual Keypad and Extra HandsetDigital camera Review: Pro's and Con's Summary: 4 StarsPro's
2 cordless handsets
Caller ID
Contacts stored same as cell phones do
Global set up for each phone
Handset specific to each hand set
Ring tone assigments
Operation is very similar to a cell phone.
Has a "Do Not Disturb" option that turns off all ringers including and from the base.
Fits in my pocket.
Could be better
Base speakerphone clarity.
LCD screens are orange with black text. Not so great on the eyes. (at least for me)
Something in my neighborhood from time to time causes interference. Nothing in my neighborhood has changed so I know it's the phone. Interference was never a problem with my previous Uniden.
Digital camera Review: What a disappointment! Summary: 1 StarsI read all the reviews here before buying this phone system -- and it's terrible. People tell me my voice breaks up using the speaker phone on the handsets (inevitably, I have to take the call off speaker phone; this is a big problem for me, as I work often from home and need 2 hands free to type/take notes); the volume fades terribly on all 3 of the handsets I bought, and sometimes unpredictably; and you can't dial back using callerID (it doesn't put the "1" before the area code -- how stupid...). Even when not using speaker phone, the voice quality is terrible -- my father-in-law can't understand a thing my husband says on the phone, he has started to plug an old corded phone in to a jack somewhere in the house to talk to his dad. I had a Panasonic for years before this system, and it had no issues. I'm ready to throw this one away and write it off. Uniden never bothered to respond to my customer support inquiry over the web. I'll never buy another product from them.
Digital camera Review: Jim R. Summary: 5 StarsI bought phones from Buy Rite and paid top price for Motorola. They were gone in less than two years. These have been great so far and more funtionality. You can program numbers to your other phones from one.
Digital camera Review: Great Phones Summary: 5 StarsI read many of the reviews and then bought this phone. They're great. I've been using the base speakerphone in my home office and slide it to 18" from my mouth (next to my keyboard). People don't realize I'm on a speakerphone.
The features are great.
To call back a Caller ID, just bring it up and then press "*" to add a 1.
One issue, the range is fairly short (100' to 200') though that might be due to the base being close to all my computer equipment.
Digital camera Review: Pretty good... Summary: 4 StarsTEN times better at holding charge than our last expandable system, which was a Panasonic. We loved the Panasonic phones EXCEPT for the fact that the battery lost its charge way too often. I like the programmable songs for different callers and the fact that you can sync your saved numbers from one handset to another so that you don't have to manually enter them separately. Talk time is pretty long too!
