My USB cable has been misplaced, and although I had another form of charge available, I could not load more music from my computer without replacing the USB to Ipod cable. This Multi Charger/connector was inexpensive has a car charger, electric charger and USB without all the added cables. One cable, three ways to charge and use. For two years I have had my Plantronics Discovery 975 Bluetooth Headset - New OEM in Bulk Packaging plugged into my desktop for recharging and then lugging it back and forth to my truck. The USB port is the only way to charge it. The charge is only good for a day or more, so I found myself using it less and less.
Now with this `Universal Apple USB Charger Kit' (meaning if it messes up your Apple product, it won't void your warranty unlike non Apple products). Now I can leave the `kit' in my truck (out of sight) and never have to worry about my Bluetooth running out of a charge. I can also use it for my iPod and my iPhone as well. The kit also includes a wall socket/USB recharger and a coil cable that is plenty long enough, but be warned - it does not recoil. If you check the other prices, you can get this for almost nothing. It's a great value of a buy!

You get what you pay for. This is really cheaply made. It was cheap, but the USB/IPOD charger stopped charging in just about 3 days. My assumption is that the retractable cable has a short. Not even really worth returning, but wow, I expected it to last a couple of weeks at least. Another thing is that if it does not break the cable is very short. If you have an extension cord on the floor, the cable is not long enough to allow you to place your IPOD on the table or desk.
