Digital camera Review: Over five years old and going strong

I've had kids spilling juice and running their grubby little hands on this remote for years and it is still going strong. I bought this remote five years ago and have been able to use it on everything from an old 36" JVC tube TV and DVD player to a Samsung LCD TV and BluRay player. The "learn" function (remote can be "taught" codes from a source remote) is great, as are features such as volume/channel "punch" through. There are drawbacks - the lighting of buttons and labels in the dark using the remote's backlight function is hard to read, the remote doesn't remember state (e.g. whether a device is on or off), and the programmable macros are stuck with the non-user-friendly names of "M1, M2 and M3". And the remote is certainly not the sexiest one out there. However, for durability, ergonomics (nice big buttons, convenient to hold with one hand) and functionality, it's tough to beat.
