I was not impressed with these speakers. I wanted to use them for self-hypnosis cds, but even at the loudest volume level I could barely hear the speaker's voice. They are probably fine for music, as other reviewers have found, but I would not recommend them if you want to really be able to hear the sound clearly. I purchased these because of the volume control button on the side, but I am returning and will try one of the other pillow speakers on amazon.Digital camera Review: PERFECT

I used to read to fall asleep at night, but my eyesight has gotten too bad at the end of a long day. Enter an mp3 player with a sleep timer and audiobooks -- except falling asleep with earphones is annoying (and potentially dangerous) and the speaker is annoying to my spouse. The Unwind pillow speaker is perfect! It works very well; barely audible to my spouse when I have it loud enough to sleep on my back, and not audible at all to him when it's quite loud enough for me on my side. I listen to a relaxation CD almost every night in order to get to sleep ("The Soothing Pulse" by Dr. John Ortiz...works like magic!) but the sound always bothered my husband. I researched many pillow sleepers and finally decided on this one. It's wonderful! I can hear my CD perfectly but my husband can't hear it at all. I just plug it into my clock radio/CD player by my bedside and drift off to sleep. The clarity of sound is also so good that my clock radio is able to wake me up through these speakers as well. I love that it has the built in volume control right in the wire. No searching around in the dark to try to find the volume on my CD player. This has been a wonderful purchase & I've recommended it to several of my friends. Very pleased!Digital camera Review: Terrific product!

We are so pleased with the way the system performed, we bought two more of them after the first one. A His and Hers, and a backup just in case something fails.
