Digital camera reviews of V-MODA Bass Freq In-Ear Stereo Headphone (Bling Bling Black)Digital camera Review: Amazing! Summary: 5 Stars
I just recieved these in the mail today, and after plugging them into my Zune and messin around with my equilizer for a minute,I was very suprised at the power these little things have. The bass is almost overkill, I wouldn't want anymore than these give, it's crazy. I listen to all sorts of heavy rock music so mass means a lot to me. You can't go wrong with these, they're cheap, and sound great, last thing I almost forgot to mention is how comfortable they are, they came with the smallest ear piece already on, and they fit perfectly, and very comfortably, oh, if you buy these make sure you really get it deep into your ear, you cant get the bass going if you dont. So if you're thinking about buying these, go ahead and do it, you'll be glad you did.
Digital camera Review: Apparently loss of sound from one earbud is a pretty common finding Summary: 1 Stars
When I first bought these in October 2006, one earbud plastic broke while I tried to pull it out of the package. Luckily the Tekserve folks allowed me to exchange it; apparently it happened so often V-Moda should call it a package design defect. Also, the silicon plugs keep getting pulled off so I keep losing them. My left earbud finally stopped working after 14 months of use, and I used them only once a week. Also, the bass is clear but the mids and highs are muted. I use my iPod to lower the bass just so I can hear the vocals. This is a bad product for its frequency range and durability.
Digital camera Review: Are you serious? Summary: 1 Stars
I can't believe these got the kind of reviews they got. They sound horrible on every level. The earphones that came with my iPod so outdo these it's pitiful!! Don't waste your money!
Digital camera Review: Average Quality and Sound Summary: 3 Stars
I had been using clip-on headphones for months because my iPod earphones were just too big. Frustrated with the lack of sound isolation and quality, I decided to look for a pair of earbuds. I spent weeks trying to find a pair that consistently received good reviews. However, that magic pair just wasn't to be found for under $100. I decided to go with a cheaper pair in the $30 price range. If they turned out to be subpar, at least I didn't waste a lot of money on them.
I choose the V-Moda Bass Freq headphones primarily because of their 2006 CNET Editor's Choice Award. CNET is known to be a reliable source. I bought them for $29.99 from TigerDirect.
Pros:
--Decent sound isolation for not actually using noise-cancellation technology
--Excellent bass
--Well-designed. Their casing is even smaller than the iPod earphones and the chord seems sturdy
Cons:
--I found the small-seized silicone covers to still be a bit big
--They do not register quieter sounds very well. For example, I was listening to "We Are the Champions" and the verses kept fading in and out.
--Difficult to find a good EQ setting. I am still working with my iPod to find a good mix given the natural bass focus of the earbuds
--There was background buzzing when I plugged them into my laptop. I am not entirely sure this is a problem with the buds themselves, but it was certainly annoying
I am going to use my V-Moda Bass Freq headphones daily. However, if I hadn't been able to use a $25 gift card toward their purchase, I would be frustrated that I spent $30 on a product with so many cons.
Digital camera Review: Average at best Summary: 3 Stars
I bought these from the huge amount of user feedback.I was expecting a huge improve of sounds over my stock earbuds with the V-Moda. Unfortunately, the sounds is average and I wonder from the plastic buds decrease the clarity some. The buds have a good assortment of sizes and fits for anybody ears. I'm some what disappointment in the quality of sound.
When you place the earbuds in your ears it sort of creates a seal(ambient noise) but the sounds isn't that great. You really have to turn up the volume to hear the music or podcast in my own situation. I feel the noise ambient seal isn't that effective here. I've adjusted my EQ and used a variety of music to see if the problem was on my end.
