Digital camera reviews of V-MODA Vibe In-Ear Noise-Isolating Metal Headphone (Gunmetal Black)

Digital camera Review: A simple and fast review
Summary: 3 Stars

I got these bad boys from Amazon about 6 months ago. Let me first say that I absolutely love these earbuds. I spent a lot of time doing research and trying out different brands and types. One type that stands out are the Shure Se210 earbuds. I really didn't like them and I think they cost over 100$. These are much better in terms of sound and cost less. The sound quality of the Shure earbuds wasn't that great especially when it came to bass (and I know how to wear them). Anyway, the one issue that came up in all my research was that a large majority were saying that the Vibe earbuds do not last. I went against my better judgment and purchased them anyway. I had read that V-moda had fixed the issues by changing the shape of the jack (the part that you plug into the ipod or whatever your using). The earbuds that i received had the new jack seen in the picture. I broke them in (like you have to do with most higher end headphones) by just playin music through them for 24 hrs. Sound quality was amazing. I love the deep bass. Goes good with all my music (which is everything but country). Now here is the problem. Just last week the left earbud quit on me. I was always careful with them and by no means was this my fault. Sucks really bad because i really like these. So the bottom line is that these earbuds WILL quit on you. Don't take the chance unless you don't mind buying a few pairs. Like i said, they sound great. I would rate them 5 stars for sure if they were still working like they should. Now I have to bend the stupid cord and use a rubber band to keep it in place if I want to hear Marilyn Manson or Infected Mushroom in both ears. I'm goin with the Monster Turbine next and I'll give that a review later on. Feel free to ask me any questions. Let me also add that anyone who thinks that their standard ipod headphones are better than any pair costing more than 20$ are completely stupid and have absolutely no reason to be writing a review on headphones. Anything is better then those standard ipod earbuds. Period. hope this was helpful...

Digital camera Review: Amazed
Summary: 5 Stars

I gotta be honest with u guys this is amazin!!!!!!! I have a monster tour in ear headphone n this headphone's sound quality is equal to those headphones. Considering what u pay i think it is very worth it. I also love the metal feeling.

Digital camera Review: Amazing Sound, flawed design.
Summary: 4 Stars

The sound quality of these in-ears is simply amazing, however the design around the input area is lacking. After a month or so of continued use, the wiring starts to break down. I'm on my second pair in 3 months. I'll have to be more gentle with these...?

Digital camera Review: Amazing for about 3 months
Summary: 2 Stars

When I first received them they sounded amazing, loved every bit of them from their looks to the sound. I used it fairly actively ran a lot with it walked everywhere with them on etc.

Now first thing to go was the metal sleeve on the 3.5 connector, it was sliding off and whatever no big deal this happened about a month in. Then the next thing to go was my left ear buds insulating wire, exposing it slowly, still worked fine but it was slowly dieing, then near the connector the insulation broke there too exposing the wire. Then the right earbud's wire was exposed then the left one stopped working altogether. That's when I got new earbuds

Overall, i wouldn't buy these again, almost got tempted since i noticed it had a different design on the connector so i thought maybe they got better, but this time i'm gonna heed other peoples reviews and still not get them.

Digital camera Review: Another reviewer very happy with this product
Summary: 4 Stars

There are a large number of reviews on this V-Moda product. I purchased this because I wanted a very good, low-profile set of ear buds and I didn't think spending over $90 made sense. I have tried many different ear-bud and headphone sets over the last several years and I feel this product is excellent. For over-the-ear headphones, I heavily compared the Bose noise-cancelling ones (both models) and the Sony Noise Cancelling ones and for about $150 less, I bought the Sony's and I'm very happy. I was recently on an airplane trip and the man next to me had the Bose noise cancelling headphones. He saw my Sony's and asked to switch for a while. We did - he thought my Sony's were just as good as his Bose and I did too. So, I am convinced that spending more money doesn't necessarily mean better quality. The V-Moda's Vibe Earbuds are an excellent example of this.
