I looked at the description of this tripod and also read the reviews. Everybody seemed to love this tripod. It has a lot of cool features, however it is very low on quality. First, it extremely light. I wouldn't trust this with anything but a point and shoot or a very very small SLR. Second, the central column would not fully extend. There were about 3 or 4 inches left and nothing visible keeping it from extending. Third, this particular tripod is very shot. I am 5'9" and I had to hunch over to use it. This is probably a great tripod for a parent or person who travels who needs something simple and light to hold the camera for group shots. It is small, light and condenses easily. However, this is not suitable at all for a professional photographer who needs a wide range of uses and stability for expensive equipment.
