I have bought these blank DVDs for the past 2 years. I still have not gotten a single coaster, having burned around a thousand DVDs. Before these I used Memorex and Sony which from a spindle of 10 I got 3 and 2 coasters, respectively.

I've tried a lot of different brands of dvds, and I've never had a problem with verbatims. I won't use anything else now. Just keep in mind, you also need a quality burner as well. If you have a crappy one, you can make coasters out of anything.Digital camera Review: Problems taken care of

Purchesed 100 pk of Verbatin 16x DVD+R. 30% of discs were coasters. So why the 4star review ? First Amazon replaced the purchase and paid my shipping. Second I sent the bad disks to the product manager for Verbatim in Charlotte NC. and he sent them to Japan for testing. the results showed a abnormal lazer power signal with my writer( Samsung se=204s) All said and done the level of service from Amazon and Verbatim was what all of us consumers wish we had every day . Keep up this level of service.

I have tried just about everybrand and CD+R and DVD+R from the big brands like sony, memorex and maxell and many other less known brands. I do not know why or what Verbatim does but these are discs are extremly versitale they will play in every player and never have errors. Simply put these are the CD+R and DVD+Rs you should buy from now on.
