Digital camera Review: Great mouse for my netbook
Summary: 4 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I got this mouse to use with my ASUS Eee PC 1000HE 10-Inch Netbook (1.66 GHz Intel Atom N280 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 10 GB Eee Storage, Bluetooth, XP Home, 9.5 Hour Battery Life) Black. I had looked at some of those little "mini" mice, but they seemed like they would cramp my hand, plus they were not cordless.

This mouse seems to be just what I needed. The "nano" receiver sticks out less than 1/2" from my netbook. The mouse is a nice size for my hand, about the size of a normal mouse.

The installation was simple. I inserted two AAA batteries (not included) into the mouse and put the receiver into the USB port. That was it...everything worked fine without any software. For travel purposes, the receiver clicks into the bottom of the mouse for safekeeping.

Overall, a perfectly good solution to my need for a netbook computer mouse. Recommended.

Digital camera Review: Great mouse, great price, and cute to boot!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I made the switch to a macbook this past year from an aging PC desktop. I've been using the touchpad for everything on my macbook as I hated the mac mouse when I tried it and the other cordless I have had a big USB adapater sticking out that was forever almost getting broken off and avoiding ruining my USB plug is a priority.

However sometimes you need a mouse, and since my daughter is now obsessed with building spore creatures we needed one to scroll and make parts bigger, enter this mouse. The only thing that is nano is the usb adapter, the mouse is a perfect size for an adult and very comfortable in your hand. I hate installing extra software so I was thrilled to see it worked perfectly just by plugging it in and I can easily switch back and forth between using the mouse or my touchpad without removing the usb adapater.

I have no complaints at all, it works great on my desktop without a pad, equally well on my lapboard, the usb adapter is tiny and if needed easily stores right in the mouse. Plus they come in several cute colors and all for around $20-25... SOLD!

Digital camera Review: Great nano mouse!
Summary: 4 Stars

This mouse is great! The Verbatim 96781 feels as good as my Logitech V220. It has a rubberized side grip and a shiny top. Looks absolutely gorgeous and fantastic. The wheel also serves as a third button which is very useful to me. I will not buy any mouse without that kind of wheel function as I use it in electronic drafting all the time. I have been waiting for the Logitech nano to come down in price but still no luck. This is the most inexpensive decent nano mouse I have seen yet.

The package comes with two double AA batteries. That's nice, making it work right out of the box. I just hate for manufacturers to ship, specially more expensive products (particularly toys) without including batteries. It also comes with a CD application software that I did not even bother to install. And of course the nano receiver. The packaging is a bubble clam shell but not too tough. You can actually separate the cardboard from the shell with a tug.

The nano receiver fits perfectly under the mouse. You push it in, hear a click and it is then secured flushed disappearing without a trace. It also automatically turns off the mouse. You push it again and it pops up! For its small size, you really need the dongle to have either a rubberized surface or ribbed design so you can remove it easily. They did not forget to include that (ribbed) in detail. The battery compartment holds 2 "AAAs". It has a ribbon that you should not forget to lay at the bottom for easy removal of batteries. It also has a tiny "connect" button, but I did not have to use it as the mouse is recognized almost instantly on my PC running Windows XP after I plugged in the nano receiver. A well-designed product.

Using it on a Macbook with Snow Leopard:
The primary reason I bought this is for my laptop. My Logitech V220 has the conventional 2-inch long dongle receiver. Not good for a laptop. This time, I needed to press the connect button, but still no need to install the CD. I was thinking that I can leave it plugged in my laptop even in the laptop case due to its size; but I cannot do that because the mouse do not turns off and battery will be wasted.

Since I just got this, the only thing I don't have any idea yet is the battery consumption. My Logitech mice batteries last for months. Time will tell.

Digital camera Review: Great product

Works great, it has a nice size and a good grip on both sides. Excellent mouse so far.

Digital camera Review: Junk
Summary: 1 Stars

I purchased two of these. After 3 weeks one of them no longer automatically shuts off. At one month the other just stopped working. Fresh batteries doesn't help. Junk. Stay away.
