Digital camera Review: Not a bad bluetooth mouse
Summary: 4 Stars

This mouse meets my needs quite nicely. I've had it for about a month now and have had no problems. The only thing it lacks from my perspective is an on/off switch. It would be nice to conserve the battery while I'm not using it without having to remove the batteries.

Digital camera Review: OK but no navigation buttons
Summary: 3 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
The feel is fine. The look is fine, maybe a little boring. It worked without software and the response was very good, but there are no side buttons for navigation and I know I have a small laptop mouse that has them and feels a little better.
Fine for occasional use.

Digital camera Review: OK for a price.. size is good but has issues
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this mouse for another laptop as I bought Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 recently and the USB receiver was rather big (although I realize now that otherwise this microsoft mouse is a great one.. please read on).
The receiver is in fact very small and you won't have to worry about USB dongle sticking out of your laptop whenever you try to move the computer from room to room.

BUT, this mouse would not work very well on my dining table (has smooth birch surface), nor on my hardwood floor. Any kind of hint of glossyness on the work surface, the mouse point on the screen wanders off on its own. So I ended up using the mouse on my desktop, but then it 'wakes' my computer up right after I try to sleep my computer.. I guess because somehow the computer thinks the mouse is moving. So I have to take out the dongle each time I try to sleep my computer.

So.. although this mouse is cheap and dongle is small, I cannot really use this mouse as I intended to use, so ultimately this wasn't a very wise buy.

Digital camera Review: Piece of junk
Summary: 1 Stars

New comments: My new comments supersede the old, which follow. After about 3-4 months of use on a different desktop this piece of junk just died. Into the trash. Takeaway is buy a Logitech or a Microsoft cordless mouse. Old review: This mouse works as promised. EXCEPT in my situation. I have a transparent plastic desk mat on top of my desk, because there's nice wood underneath that I want to protect. The plastic mat freaks out this Verbatim mouse, causing the cursor to jerk around and float randomly around the screen even when I'm not touching the mouse--where it stops nobody knows. No such problem with my Kensington cordless mouse that conked out after just a year; no problem with my corded mice, either.

Digital camera Review: Plug and go. Batteries included.
Summary: 4 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
For both laptops, an HP 12" Tablet running Vista and an Asus 1000he, this mouse worked right out of the box. There was no need to download drivers or use the 2 CDs. Batteries are included.

What you get:
The mouse
The receiver (1/4")
2 batteries
2 CDs presumably with drivers and other stuff
1 product sheet/warranty etc

Packaging:
Card board with a large clear exterior clamshell that snaps firmly together (not welded) with more clear plastic material holding the mouse and another piece of plastic holding the batteries in the back. A little excessive packaging. Upside is that the exterior clamshell is *not* welded together.

The product itself:
The mouse itself is a lightweight medium-sized mouse (3x as thick as an Iphone but 1/5 shorter and a bit wider), the receiver part sticks a little more than a 1/4". The mouse is very responsive and seems to be quite reliable on quite a few surfaces including an oak desk, a mouse pad, a cotton canvas sofa, a psychedelic & kaleidoscopic printed table cloth and a lapdesk. I haven't tried a dark glossy surface as mentioned by another reviewer.

What I really like about this mouse:
The lightweight for its size, the small 1/4" receiver, power-off (after 10-mins) when idle feature, ability to power-off without removing the receiver, slot to store the receiver on the mouse that is not in the battery well, plug-and-go, non-welded clamshell, 2 buttons plus a wheel-button, very good responsiveness up to a few feet away and it is quite dollars cheaper than other similar mice. The batteries are also a common and easily replaceable size.

It does use one of the USB ports, but the other wireless alternative would be bluetooth.

I would recommend this mouse for netbook users and laptop users, anyone who doesn't like huge receiver sticks hanging off the side of their computer, needs use of their BT but still wants a wireless, and people who want a decent lightweight, wireless 3-button, medium-sized mouse.
