I like the LightScribe concept - no sticking on lables that eventually start to come off. I have used 3 of these Verbatim LightScribe DVD's and the details that were burnt onto the DVD's were sharp, but it was a little hard to see as the DVD itself has a flat, dusty-gold color which doesn't contrast well with the grayscale designs that get burnt on. So, though the designs are sharp, they don't pop out at you. This would work much better on a lighter colored CD.Digital camera Review: Spotty at best

I have been using Verbatim Lightscribe disk for about a year with no problems at all. Unfortunatly that is not the case with this batch. Every disk fails when burning to them unless I burn at 4X speed or slower. When at 4X I only had about a 50% fail rate. I had purchased a total of 60 disk and had over 40 fail.Digital camera Review: TOP LINE

THEY ALL WORK GREAT , NO! PROBLEMS WITH ANY. FROM MY STUDY VERBATIM is TOP QUALITY & +'s ARE BETTER QUALITY THAN -'s then LIGHTSCRIBE thats nice... the only thing they could do to make them better put VIDEO GUARD on them...Digital camera Review: These disks do not print.

Nothing but success with every verbatim spindle i have ever purchased before but these were lemons. I have yet to figure out a way to make lemonade from them.
The data side burns fine. Out of 4 so far, only one has printed on the lightscribe side.
These were purchased in early July '08. The chances of buying disks from the same bad lot are remote.

These seem to burn really well. I've gone through three packs now without a single lost DVD. By the way, if you have a lightscribe burner and haven't tried the actual label burning yet, you've gotta try it. The labels look really good (considering that they're burned on), but the burning of the label can take more than 20 minutes if it's a complex label.
Overall a great product here in these DVDs.
