The humidifier works well, it's very quiet. I bought this last year and when I took it out this winter to use it, the smell was profoundly disgusting! I can't find a replacement filter either in case that's what is causing it. I can't use it with the awful smell.Digital camera Review: Great humidifier

Our son gets asthma and croup from colds, so having a good humidifier was essential to keep his airway open. This was our third and final humidifier. After wasting our money on cheapo humidifiers that stopped working after a couple months, and that were awkward to fill and transport without spilling and to assemble correctly to get going, this humidifer worked like a charm. Sometimes there is a slight medicinal smell in the room in the morning, but it's not overwhelming, or that different from any other humidifier. We have had this humidifier for two years now and with proper maintenance it still runs like the day we bought it.Digital camera Review: Bad odor

Like some of the other people reviewing this item, ours developed a bad odor after a month of use. I have cleaned the thing thoroughly according to the instructions, but it still smells bad. I cannot find the replacement filter anywhere. It's very good at producing mist, but the room gets saturated with the odor. WE BOUGHT THIS AFTER OUR VICKS COOL MIST HUMIDIFIER CAUGHT ON FIRE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AFTER 2 WEEKS OF USE. iT WORKS GOOD. iT WORKS SO GOOD THAT WE USUALLY HAVE TO TURN IT OFF BEFORE MORNING BECAUSE IT GETS TO HOT IN MY BABIES ROOM. IT IS VERY QUIET AND CAN HARDLY HEAR IT, BUT THE MIST COMING OUT STINKS LIKE A PIG FARM! IT HAS SMELLED THIS WAY SINCE THE FIRST NIGHT WE USED IT. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING TO SEE IF IT WOULD GO AWAY AFTER SOME USE-MAYBE A NEW PLASTIC SMELL. IT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS AND IT STILL SMELLS. WE WILL RETURN IT TODAY. I HAVEN'T HAD MUCH LUCK WITH VICKS PRODUCTS. I WILL PROBABLY TRY A DIFFERENT BRAND.Digital camera Review: It works great!

We use this whenever our toddler needs it at night and it works great! She breathes easier and can sleep better. We definitely recommend this product, it's worth the money!
