Digital camera reviews of Vtech DS6121-5 DECT 6.0 Digital 5-Handset Cordless Phone Answering SystemDigital camera Review: Great System Summary: 5 Stars
Great System! It does not interfere with my wireless router. The sound is great and I love the way you can call all hand sets. You can transfer calls from all hands sets also. The hand sets are numbered so you make sure they get put back in the room where they belong. Would highly Recommend them.
Digital camera Review: Great phone system Summary: 5 Stars
This is the perferct product for my home. We are able to put handsets throughout the house and use the phone system as a house intercom system as well as a great phone system. I love the features. Great purchase.
Digital camera Review: Great with Vonage Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these phones because I just switched to Vonage which only allows one wall phone outlet to be used. The base phone of this system can be plugged into the Vonage router and all of the other phones can be placed around the house for wireless use. That means they can be put in any room regardless of whether you have a phone jack. I have a 3000 sq. foot home and I get outstanding reception wherever I am. I am a bit of a technophile but these phones are a no-brainer to set up. If you can put in the batteries and plug them into a 110v outlet your done. The speaker phones on each handset were excellent. The phones have a ton of features I will never use but for me these couldn't be better. The system is a great bang for the buck without question. I am a harsh critic of cheap crap and these pass with flying colors!
Digital camera Review: Still delighted after 8 months Summary: 4 Stars
This has been a great phone. Battery life is never a problem, audio is clear, no interference with my WiFi.
The speakerphone capability, and paging between handsets is great, but I kindof wish it had a 1/8th inch phono plug for a headset, but it's not a big issue.
Also, it would be nice if I could use the speakerphone while it's on the charger, but I've never had issues with battery life, even with multi-hour teleconferences.
These two 'critiques' are only listed because I had to really think about it, but over all, I would recommend this set to anyone, as I've been very pleased.
Digital camera Review: Terrific and intuitive phone Summary: 5 Stars
These phones are the most intuitive, easy-to-use and set up phone devices I've ever had. Granted, I was replacing ancient (10+ yrs old) devices, but this system was an utter breeze to set up (essentially, put the batteries in and plug them in, wait to charge, then use them). The answering system was a no-brainer; I didn't even bother to consult the instructions (except to note how many hours to charge before use). Super easy. The answering machine sound quality is very good, I thought, not the horrible digital sound quality of days of old.
The only wild card was getting it to work with my MFP fax, which did require a little experimentation with my fax before I got it to function as before.
The on-board phone book is great and easy to use. It's very nice that it simply clones automatically to each of the other phones in the set. The DECT has produced zero interference issues, and we have WiFi, stereo, printers and several computers around where these phones are in the house. Lovely clarity everywhere.
Overall I love these phones. They are easy to use, even with imperfect lighting, easy on the ear, the remote message retrieval is straight forward and works well and I think they look pretty swank. I am glad of this perking up of our household phones, which require very minimal space now, not to mention no need for the million modular plug-ins of our old phones. The only downer is that, for emergency use, I will have to find a simple, non-powered analog phone to just plug into a jack, in the case of a power out. But that would be an issue with any powered phone on the market.
