Digital camera reviews of Wacom Intuos3 6 x 8-Inch Pen Tablet

Digital camera Review: Expensive but worth it.
Summary: 5 Stars

Aside from the late shipment and the operation conflicts within Vista, this product is amazing. More versatile than I expected, ease of use is fantastic. I use this on two PC's, one XP and the other Vista. Vist doesnt load the driver properly sometimes and must be reinstalled...following that it works without any issues until the next reboot or user change. This may be due to my multi language system or just a conflict between the automatically installed windows tablet driver and the Wacom driver...I dont know and have yet to hear back from either one of them.
I use this for painting and digital sculpting, photo manipultation and graphic design. If I bought this before getting married I would never have met wife because I would never have left the house!

Digital camera Review: Fantastic Product!
Summary: 5 Stars

The Wacom Intuos3 6x8 Pen Tablet is worth every penny. It is extremely easy to use. The long USB cord allows you to kick back in your office chair and draw while in a comfortable position. No more arm strain. It comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 software and Corel Painter Essentials 4.0. These programs are loads of fun. I highly recommend this pen tablet for both sketching and photo editing. I have an old version of Corel Draw and it works well with it also.

Digital camera Review: Fantastic!

This tablet is absolutely beeautiful. Installed easily, works perfectly. Still discovering new perspectives this tablet opens. For graphic work, this thing is a must have. Worth every penny.

Digital camera Review: Far from perfect...
Summary: 2 Stars

I have been using this model since 2004, and have used many other models at previous jobs. Wacom is the main player in the tablet game, hence why I ordered this one.

I built a pretty high end computer with top of the line processors and a top end video card to use with it.

Never, NEVER, has it worked properly. When using memory intensive movements in Adobe Photoshop like smudge, airbrush, burning and dodging; it hangs up often after a few strokes. Totally unacceptable in my opinion, especially for the high cost of the product. For years I have updated wacoms drivers, updated Photoshop, and searched online forums for answers. It's a common problem if you do a simple google search, so I am not alone on this. I have lowered the cache in PS, and went forwards and backwards in wacom updates with mixed results over the years, sometimes wishing I did not update at all. My mouse never has these "memory drag" issues when I use it instead of the wacom, but drawing with a mouse is the worst.

I hope the Intuos 4 has fixed these issues, but I will be looking at all options for future tablets for my business.

Digital camera Review: First time tablet experience
Summary: 4 Stars

Although I have little experience with other tablet products on the market, I find this product to work great. I have no trouble with memory, application conflicts or the like. It makes working with Illustrator and Photoshop exponentially easier and I look forward to lots of use.
