Digital camera reviews of Wacom Intuos3 6 x 8-Inch Pen TabletDigital camera Review: Love it! Summary: 5 StarsThis is one of the best things I've ever purchased. It's incredible. I haven't had a problem with it yet! It makes using photoshop a million times easier and faster. I use the pen rather than the mouse. I'm not really sure why anybody would use the mouse when you have something so much better right next to it. But nevertheless, it is awesome that you can draw with this product. Burning and dodging becomes a million times easier, and every other tool in photoshop becomes easier to use. For what you pay, you will easily make up in time. I would recommend this to all my friends at photography school, and anybody else who does a lot of image retouching.
Digital camera Review: What a great tablet! Summary: 5 StarsI previously owned a Wacom Graphire4 4x6 tablet, and decided to graduate to this new bigger one. I gave away my Graphire to a friend that's never had a tablet before, so she was happy. This tablet is much bigger, has a great pen and stand, is much sturdier feeling, and has great software.
The only glitch I had so far was with the included Corel Painter Essentials 4 software. When I installed the device and software on my new Vista 64-bit computer, this program wouldn't open. I researched on the internet and found that if you hold down the shift key while you open the program, it works fine. They may have a more permanent fix, I just haven't tried since finding this work-around.
I used my old tablet as just a photo-editor, but with this one, the painting program is so much fun, I'm sure I'll get a lot more enjoyment out of this new tablet, while learning what all the new buttons and features do.
Digital camera Review: Just what I anticipated Summary: 5 StarsI previously had a wacom graphire then I purchased the intuos3. Wacom is simply the best in drawing tablets. I anticipated that it would be a wonderful tool and it is! It is considerably better than the graphire or bamboo an awesome tablet!
Digital camera Review: wacom intuos 6 x 8 Summary: 5 StarsI have given up my mouse. This is an extremely satisfying interface of ergonomic functionality and intuitive thinking. I have only one question... why did I wait so long? If you are making a living in the digital graphics world this is about as useful as it gets. The learning curve is brief and the rewards many, pressure sensitive, natural hand movements etc. I recommend this product highly.
Digital camera Review: Personal Opinion - Wacom 6" X 8" pen tablet Summary: 5 StarsI've worked with PhotoShop for years and have taught courses to help artists use this program in developing their visual references for painting. The Wacom pen tablet opens up a new dimension for artists using PhotoShop. Although it helps if you can draw, it still provides a tremendous advantage in manipulating, combining, and revising photos as reference for paintings. I'm left-handed but use my mouse with my right hand. I really enjoy the feeling of drawing with my left hand again. The 6" X 8" tablet works best for me considering the limited space on my desktop. I've only been using this product for a month but expect it to almost replace most of what I used to do with a mouse for graphic manipulation.
