Digital camera Review: Small, light, and awesome.. and 16in cable!

The cable for this model is much longer than previous models, measuring about 16 inches. I made an HFS partition for Time Machine and large file storage (for Macbook Pro), and made 100GB partition in FAT32. It has worked perfectly with a mac, a windows machine, and a PS3.
It so easy to use and carry around, and the cord is definitely long enough this time! I have owned it for 2 months with zero issues. It also looks sweet.
Highly Recommended.

I am not going into details on this specific drive as many people have already. I want to add a whole new dimension to these USB powered drives that many of you may not be aware.
Because of their great portability feature, you can install an operating system and programs called Portable Apps, www.portableapps.com. The programs are free and provide you with a wide array of on-the-go programs, much similar to those from Microsoft and others in your typical pc. By installing these programs, you can actually be able to use your portable drive in anyone's computer, use the programs to do your work, and leave-- and the beauty is that you don't need to have to install anything in other's computer. By the time you are done, there is no trace of you doing the work on that person's computer.
This is the future of how a person can go back and forth from the office without the need to carry his/her laptop. Such drive allows a far more flexible means to carry large amount of data with programs built-in to allow a person like me to move those works around easily.

Needed more disk space so I decided to shell out two hundred dollars for the drive. On the box it said no power cable necessary on most systems and I have never used a power cable on my laptops with Seagate and LaCie portables. So let's see... On one laptop it didn't work at all saying it needs more power. On my powerful laptop it worked, but died while coping files... (more power needed) great now I'll have a corrupted filesystem. Thanks alot.
Of course you'd think that for two hundred dollars you'd get a power cable (as Seagate and LaCie and others provide free). Wrong. You'll need to order it from their website for a nifty 18 dollars and wait a week to get it. Need it sooner? Sure for an extra 15 dollars they'll expedite it.
