Digital camera reviews of Western Digital 320 GB Passport 2.5" USB 2.0 Hard DriveDigital camera Review: Great mobile drive, great price Summary: 5 StarsSmall, light and stylish. I got this in a gold box deal on the cheap. Formatted storage capacity with NTFS was 297GB. Sustained large file transfers on Vista-x64 stayed at a solid 29 MBytes/sec. I haven't ran into the power issue others have and I've tried it on at least a dozen machines. I'm not saying it doesn't exist I'm just saying it's probably more of a rare issue. Amazon shipped it fast even using the free shipping option.
Digital camera Review: Great portable storage drive Summary: 4 StarsI haven't spent a lot of time using this item yet, but so far it works well. I use mine in the field to backup video files to two of these little drives and they work fine. It's great having this much storage and backup storage in such a small footprint.
Digital camera Review: great product Summary: 5 StarsI own 2 of these hard drives. The first one is a beige 120GB passport that I took to Iraq for 15 months. It survived the dust storm and everything, still working today. I cant compare it to other products since this is the only portable hard drive that I buy.
Digital camera Review: Small, light, and awesome.. and 16in cable! Summary: 5 StarsThe cable for this model is much longer than previous models, measuring about 16 inches. I made an HFS partition for Time Machine and large file storage (for Macbook Pro), and made 100GB partition in FAT32. It has worked perfectly with a mac, a windows machine, and a PS3.
It so easy to use and carry around, and the cord is definitely long enough this time! I have owned it for 2 months with zero issues. It also looks sweet.
Highly Recommended.
