I purchased this hard drive to upgrade my PS3 and I have been completely satisfied. It took a little more effort than anticipated to install it so everything worked properly but this had nothing to do with the hard drive itself. I honestly don't anticipate having to upgrade again. I have 20 games and have downloaded all of the extra content for these games and then some. I still have 230GB of storage available.
