So I originally bought this hard drive at local big box retailer with blue and yellow logos for almost $50 more than I paid from Amazon after I returned the first one. I used that savings to purchase the Apricorn EZ-UP-UNIVERSAL EZ Upgrade Universal Hard Drive Upgrade Kit, which allowed me to clone my old 80gb hard drive to this new 320gb hard drive without having to pay a local technician $75-$100 just to move the software. If you want to upgrade your laptop hard drive you'll need some way to connect it to the old one and instead of paying someone to do it, just use the upgrade kit. I'm thrilled with my new hard drive since the old one was slowing down as it reached its limit. I bought this hard drive to upgrade my 60GB PS3. It took only a few minutes to install, it was very easy. I backed up my system onto a portable hard drive and after install just copied back up to new hard drive. I only lost a couple of game saves that wouldn't copy. This is a very quiet hard drive. The only problem I have had with this is my PS3 has failed to recognise this new hard drive 2 times, however after turning off main power and rebooting PS3 it works fine. I bought the WD Scorpio 320G to upgrade my original 60G PS3 because I kept running out of space. Install was easy and I have lots of free space now.
My only slight complaint is that, of the 298G formatted capacity, I only have 217G left after restoring the data from my 60G drive. Why did it take 80G to restore my 60G drive? Where did the other 20G go?
Anyway, I'm happy with the product and would definately reccomend it.

This HDD excels in storage for a cheap price.I got this drive to upgrade my PS3's paltry 80 gig drive. (That had 8 gigs remaining.)It took me a maximum of 8 mins to install it and,I was good to go!!! You really can't go wrong here.Bottom Line Good Buy!
