Got a great price for the performance and capacity of this drive from Amazon. Since the drive was an OEM version, it came with no software. Went to the Western Digital site and downloaded their special edition of Acronis True Image software to create a copy of my existing drive. I could not get this program to complete the copy on my system. WD support tried to help but I eventually went to a third party software to create my copy. This drive is superfast and reliable. I have 3 of the 500GB drives as well and love them.
If you want storage, get a 1TB or 2TB drive for that purpose. This drive is not JUST for storage, it is for the speediness of the drive and using with an OS as the main C: drive.
