Digital camera Review: 18 Months - Dead. But it was good while it lasted...
Summary: 1 Stars
Easy setup. However, it came with an eSATA cable with plug ends too short to make good contacts. Replaced the cable. After nearly 18 months of operation, it died. If the unit dies, it wipes out ALL your recordings except if there are any saved on the TiVo internal drive from before the time the Expander was installed. Definitely appears to be a very limited life-span item and not a one time lemon. Not chancing another one.
