Purchased February 6, 2009 now June 1, 2009 bugger died on me. My computer wants to format this thing and I got all my info on it. I purchased a Western Digital Internal Hard Drive years ago and it died about a year after I installed it. Never again! I use this drive to store a backup of my music and photos. It does the job I need for a good price. So far I have 3 of these drives and they are all reliable. I have seen cheaper but the reliability and the brand make me happy to pay a couple of bucks more. This product was recieved just as advertised and works very well. Very simple to use and extremely effective. My only complaint is that the packaging was VERY VERY DIFFICULT TO OPEN. It literally took me almost an hour to get it out of the plastic and I scratched it in the process trying to cut the plastic open. It's compact and construction is sturdy. The finish is glossy so it must be treated gently but as it will carry all your personal information and files being careful is mandatory anyway. Transfer of data is quick and 250GB is quite a bit. Only setback: the plastic blister is almost bullet proof, but this has nothing to do with the device (actually it is a positive feature while it hasn't been delivered to your door)so I recommend it.
