Digital camera reviews of Western Digital WDXMS1200TN Passport 120 GB USB 2.0 2.5-Inch Portable Hard DriveDigital camera Review: Check your warranty Summary: 1 Stars
Check your warranty! I purchased the 120 GB Passport with "3 Year warranty" printed on the package. I registered it and was informed that my remaining warranty was 334 days (one year from the date of manufacture). I immediately returned it.
Digital camera Review: Click of death! Summary: 1 Stars
This thing is "portable" and "rugged" in the same way a paperweight is. Which is exactly what it will become should you attempt to, you know, actually carry it around.
Digital camera Review: Compact and Good Summary: 5 Stars
It is very compact. And works well on my macbook with Leopard. I highly recommend it.
Digital camera Review: Compact, neat hard disk Summary: 4 Stars
It's compact, it's cute, looks very nice. But actual HD size only about 112, which is a let down. When they advertise 120, they should provide 120 GB. Sometime you plan for 120 GB and if it is less, it can be a bad let down. Delivery was efficient, and both pc and laptop detected the hard drive without any problems. I have had it for only a week, haven't used it extensively, no complaints so far. Hope they send me the link again after about 2-3 months so I can give some real feedback about it then!
Digital camera Review: Cool little product Summary: 5 Stars
I've had no problems using this with either of my Dell systems. My own experience was plug and play. I don't use it as storage for must-have items only because I'm not familiar with its life cycle. Using my desktop, I transfer programs from Tivo to this product. Then I have a library of programming which fits in my coat pocket and can be watched on my laptop. The case is a sleek black which isn't so sleek once handled, because it's impossible not to leave prints. That's a minor quibble, though. I intend to buy another, if my present one finishes out the new year.
