I ended up returning this after i had exchanged it for another! Not a good readar detector! not user freindly but it was always giving false alerts and no warning on real alerts! Just a bad unit all the way around!Digital camera Review: Not a good product

Acts up when placed in certain modes, sometimes detects, sometimes doesn't. When placed along side my other units, does not always detect as they do.
Periscope feature is nice.
Buy something else.

I bought this product last year as a Christmas gift. It is set off by certain department stores, so it gives a lot of false reads. And you don't necessarily have to be really close to the stores for them to set it off. It does not give you a lot of warning time at all. We actually ended up with a ticket. This item is a real turd. It goes off for no reason half the time when a police car is near it doesn't seem to notice. It is worthless on the toll road it goes off none stop not sure why, it is the same in town. I bought it on sale if I would have paid full price I would really be upset. Go a different route. I also have a cobra and I wish I would have just stuck with that brand maybe, I don't know
