Digital camera Review: All around great remote

I purchased this remote to replace my damaged Dell remote. This remote was more than I expected. Here are some points:
- Functions seamlessly on Windows Vista (64-bit)
- Plug-and-play install
- Mouse function works great.
- Not good for use in dark room, lots of buttons and hard to find in dark. Would be improved with back-light...
- Form factor is a bit bulky, but still comfortable. Weight is low. Feels like there is a lot of wasted space inside that could allow for smaller case.
- Receiver is small. I used double sided tape to attach mine to the bottom of my monitor. No tape is included.
- Range is good. It reaches everywhere I need to go.
- Price is great for what you get.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this product's quality, value, and abilities. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good remote for their PC at a good price. It doesn't stand up against the Harmony or the other 'Super Remotes', but at a tiny fraction of the price it is a great product for anyone who wants to run their PC via remote. I will probably purchase another for my car PC install project. (although I am considering a smaller remote as well)

I was skeptical when I first read the reviews about this remote but for the asking price I figured that I would not be out much if it did not work. I'm not a skeptic now. Set up with Windows 7 Pro was truly "plug & Play". All the function keys work as advertised and the "mouse" pad works well. The paper documentation I received is no frills black and white drawings & text in understandable English. The remote is not made of heavy duty plastic; OK for adults to use but if you have toddlers or hyper youths at home, I would recommend keeping it out of reach. I have been using the remote for 1 week so I cannot comment on battery life or longevity of the remote. If you are looking for a remote to control your Home Theater PC, running Windows then this is the remote you have been looking for.Digital camera Review: Amazing

I thought for sure that I would be returning this just because of how cheap it was. But it works great. Yes, the mouse pad function is alittle hard to get used to but it feels great and it works right after you plug it in. If I could have improved it in one way (and it would have made it more expensive) is to add a touch pad for the mouse instead of a button. I was hoping to use this with my MythTV setup. It kind of works, but it isn't treated as a remote, instead it is a keyboard/mouse. That makes it easy to setup, but also means that I can't get it programmed the way I need it. Particularly, I can't use the play and pause keys and there is no menu key. The mouse pad is great for when you want to pop open youtube, hulu, or vlc outside of the Media Center interface. Other remotes (esp. universal ones) force you to have a keyboard close by just in case one of those situations arises. And, it goes without saying, this remote performs wonderfully in Media Center as well.
Buttons feel good, all of them work well, and the IR receiver is uber-responsive.
Can't go wrong with this one.
