Digital camera reviews of Windows 7 Vista XP Media Center MCE PC Remote Control and Infrared Receiver for Home, Premium and Ultimate EditionDigital camera Review: Chinese Engineering at its Finest! Summary: 5 Stars
Now I can finally park my wireless keyboard and mouse and watch TV the way mother nature intended. This remote works great with Windows Media Center. I use this with my 46" HDTV and PC combo located in the living-room entertainment center. This thing is so easy to use my 7-year-old can now control the TV again. Almost Perfect!
Digital camera Review: Did not configure properly with Windows 7 Summary: 1 Stars
Maybe I'm just not tech savy enough, but I purchased this remote because everyone said how easy it was to configure. When it arrived, I connected it and the remote works fine, but I bought this one because of the IR receiver and every time I get to that page on the Windows tv set up, it tells me there is no IR receiver. From what I've been able to research on my own, BECAUSE THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT, is that in Windows 7 it sees it as a remote and a keyboard, not an IR receiver. I have no idea how to download a new driver or find more information, because there's no brand name on the product. I guess I'll just have to find another IR receiver...but next time I'll check to make sure there's someone to help me if I get lost!
Digital camera Review: Does NOT work with Windows 7 Media Center Summary: 1 Stars
I was looking for a cheap IR so I could record tv shows using Windows 7 Media Center. I thought this product was it, but boy was I wrong. The packaging itself says Vista! NOT windows 7, that was the first clue something was wrong. I opened it anyways since I needed to use this right away, I plugged the IR in and went through the set up process in WMC. Although the remote control worked as a mouse, WMC did not recognize the IR. I tried multiple times to reinstall the thing and even shutdown the comp a couple of times, but it still didn't recognize. I returned it same day, and went to Best Buy to get something that worked. For those wanting to use this to watch TV using Windows 7 Media Center: STAY AWAY!!! If you want a wireless mouse, then this will do.
Digital camera Review: Does Not Work With Windows 7! Summary: 1 Stars
When i received this remote i couldn't wait to use it with windows media center in my Windows 7 Home Premium system (32-bit). When i plugged in the usb IR Receiver windows did not recognize the device and i have searched online for over an hour trying to find a solution. The device most likely uses the 'ehome infrared receiver' driver which is a generic driver that works with a majority of remote controls i found on google and there is no way to update the driver and there is no manufacturer website i can turn to =( I have two windows7 machines available, 32-bit and 64-bit, and this usb IR Receiver does not work with either machines. I am very unsatisfied!
Digital camera Review: Does everything it needs to Summary: 5 Stars
This controller works the moment you plug it in. All the controls are very intuitive. It is definitely worth the price.
