The remotes themselves work OK, However if you will be using an all-in-one or universal remote then the USB receiver that comes with this product will NOT work. It's very unfortunate as I bought this solely for the USB IR Receiver, I can't even imagine how (or why) they would make the receiver incompatible with other remotes.Digital camera Review: Don't do the dumb thing I did! I rec'd this remote on Saturday and, of course, immediately tried to play with it on Win7 Pro.
Uh, uh. No go. Plugged in the IR and it blinked, but nothing else ... no remote, no nothing. So, I spent several hours looking for drivers, reading, etc. Tried it on my second machine - an XP Home. Still no joy. I even read all the reviews - everyone seemed to have a "working right out of the box" experience - except me.
I found some fresh batteries, tried those. Nothing. I tried more batteries. Nothing. And then, as I was putting the last set in, I realized I had been putting the batteries in... backwards. I switched them around and ... YES! Now working flawlessly. It's not a perfect remote, but for the price, I don't think you can beat it.
Now, as soon as I get my cables, the Win7 machine goes to the living room where it will take full control of the tv, and maybe, before too long, I can convince my wife that we don't need to be paying $65 per month for DirecTv...

I'm very satisfied with this product. I have Windows 7 Ultimate and this remote works flawlessly with it. I use it to control all the Media Center functions and it works perfectly. I also enjoy the way you can control the mouse with it. I wasn't looking for that but I find that it's very convenient to have. However, if you are looking for a universal remote that will control more than one device this is not what you want to buy. For me, I simply don't care. I wasn't buying it for that. But if you just want an excellent PC remote I definitely recommend this one.Digital camera Review: Excelent MCE remote!

I am very happy with this remote. I especially like the mouse control pad, it makes it so easy to control other apps besides just Media Center.
Truly Plug and Play, just insert the IR receiver in your USB port, Windows 7 has drivers included, and It Just Works!
The range is good, my room is 20 feet long and it works from the opposite corner.
