It's very useful when it works. And it does work pretty well. It's just a fact that X10 will not work at great distances, and sometimes your house wiring may involve some distance you didn't know. Try it. Cheap and fun. Chicks did it.

The transceiver then transfers the command to your Power Line and effects control of any X10 module in your house! The 4-button unit controls X10 unit numbers 1-4, 5-8, 9-12 or 13-16.
