Digital camera reviews of Xpad (Non-slip Laptop Cooler and Heatshield)Digital camera Review: A simple plate but nothing more Summary: 3 Stars
It's just a lift-up plate for your laptop to allow room for your laptop fan to work. Over-priced for its value.
Digital camera Review: All depends Summary: 2 Stars
One of the rubber feet falls right under my processor and fan, so my laptop runs hotter on the pad than without. If I tilt the laptop so the fan is clear of the foot, it works fine, but its very awkward. Look at the bottom of your laptop, and see how its going to work out.
If the feet fall in a good position for you, this would be a good pad. The laptop does not slip, and the pad is durable and light.
Digital camera Review: Always use mine Summary: 5 Stars
Bought mine after reading a review in PCWorld (or another computer magazine). It's sturdy, seems to distribute heat well and it's just as comfortable if I were using my laptop without it even though it's a tad small for my computer (which is NOT a lightweight to begin with). I don't have any slipping issues and it's no extra weight in the case. I use it on the table or on my lap. Highly recommended product!
Digital camera Review: Amazingly simple and effective, worth every penny. Summary: 5 Stars
Before the Xpad, my laptop would overheat if I used it on my lap, on the couch, or in bed for more than a few minutes. And the heat it produced would get very uncomfortable on my legs. With the Xpad, it never overheats, my legs stay cool as well, and the machine is much more stable, comfortable, and much easier to use. At first I thought the device a bit expensive for what it is, but now I think it was worth every penny. I'm getting them for everyone in the family!
Digital camera Review: And another thing Summary: 5 Stars
I use mine all the time with my net book. It creates a slightly raised, stable surface which works much better for typing than having the netbook on my lap. Excellent product.
