Digital camera Review: Great Switch, some HDMI Handshake issues

All in all, I'd say this product does what it's supposed to. For the price, this is certainly an excellent option. I did notice some HDMI handshake delays with an LG TV, but it's difficult to tell if it's the switch or the cable box itself.
Switching is easy, the remote is tiny and easily lost - about the size of half of a business card (but if you have a Harmony remote, that works well with this switch).
The only other issue to report has to do with the state of the switch after a power loss. I have my switch out of sight, and after a power loss it seems that it has to be manually powered on - the remote doesn't seem to kick it on.

I have this connected to my 50" Panasonic Plasma TV with my TiVo HD and Xbox 360 Elite working great through it. Also, my Harmony 880 universal remote is able to control it with relative ease. The power saving feature on this HDMI switcher is also pretty nice.
Ironically, the only negative about this HDMI switcher is that my Apple TV doesn't work going through it so I have to attach my Apple TV directly to my TV. Not exactly sure why Apple TV doesn't work but that's a bummer.
Overall it's a great product despite an obvious and ironic downside.

I got this switch so I could use both my XBox 360 Elite and AppleTV with my Samsung HDTV (HL-R5067W) which only has one HDMI port. The switch works beautifully with my Xbox, allowing for 1080i (my TV's highest resolution) without any noise in the signal, something I've experienced in the past when using switches). However, AppleTV owners please note that while Apple states their product will work with Samsung TVs, and it does if directly plugged into the TV's HDMI port, it will not work on this switch when coupled with the Samsung set. Apparently there is a handshake issue between the AppleTV and the signal coming from the TV through the switch. I've seen this setup work several times on other brand TVs so I know its not the switch, but some software issue with the AppleTV (I have upgraded the using to the latest version, which includes YouTube support, but it has not fixed the problem). Other than the AppleTV issue it works flawlessly, and my Harmoney 880 remote was able to learn the simple IR commands from the included remote without fail.Digital camera Review: Great, some flashing

This package came damaged, but i still instinctly hooked it up. At first, nothing, but after a reboot of the switch i got a picture, but the picture was flashing. I got it to be stable on port 2, but im thinking its my hdmi cable. great product.Digital camera Review: HDMI Perfection
