I've had this for about 3 weeks now, and I thought it would break down like the other ones I bought. Well, it still works as good as new!
I really recommend buying this over the cheaper adapters.
Digital camera Review: Cheap, does the job

It's a little big, but it was cheap and it does the job. I'm only a little scared that it will tweak the connector on the phone. **not for jeans pockets**
I plan on leaving this in my car with the car charger attached, feeding my aux input on my car stereo.
I would consider buying the pigtail version of this if I were to buy again, but those don't have a place to plug in sync/power.

I purchased this adapter because my new Sprint Touch phone is listed in the "Compatible with" list of phones in the description. It also receives high marks in the reviews. The first time I used the item, it burned itself up and nearly damaged my phone.
Within the first 5 minutes the adapter worked fine. Using it in the mini-USB port on the phone I was able to then use my standard 3.5mm headphones to listen to music. Satisfied, I connected the original power cable to the port on adapter and let it charge my phone.
10 minutes later my wife's phone rang, followed by my home phone. It was a friend calling to say "Your cell phone has been calling me every 30 seconds for almost 5 minutes. Can you please stop?"
I picked up my cell to check things out. It was hot to the touch. I disconnected the adapter and the power cable and after the phone cooled down it appears to be acting normally.
The adapter does not seem to work any longer and I have not yet checked to see if the mini USB port on the phone works properly but when the adapter is in place the phone plays music through the external speaker only so I'm a little concerned.
Contacted the merchant today and am waiting for a response.
EDIT: Received a replacement from the merchant, not expedited as I requested, just plain snail mail. Worked great for a couple of weeks, then the same bug resurfaced - the phone redials the last number called over and over when the adapter is inserted.

The phone should really come with a headphone jack. That fact aside, this adaptor is a good way to have an analog stereo output, and a way to charge/link with a computer.

Digital camera Review: Does not work well at all with the G1

I purchased this to use with my G1 phone. As soon as i plugged it in, my music player immediately went into shuffle mode and wouldn't play more than 10 seconds of any song before moving on to the next.
Also, it did NOT play in stereo. This was a waste of money. I threw the item in the trash after spending 30 minutes trying to get it to work.
