It works and get's the job done but kills the battery far to fast (between 2 and 3 hours of use before the zune battery is dead). Also, when you go under a traffic light the static overtakes the music so you can't hear it. I bought this FM broadcaster for my Zune so I can listen to my digital music while driving instead of having to buy an MP3 stereo system for my car. I can say that when it works (about 60% of the time), it delivers great sounding broadcast. But that does not come without doing some constant tuning, i.e. moving your Zune around for "hot spots" or tuning to other frequencies for better signals.
Of course if you go on a roadtrip, you will definitely need to keep scanning for available frequencies as radio signals from different counties interferes with the broadcast. I am looking into the CarPlay transmitter by Monster as a possible alternative. Great music player, disappointing accessory.

I love my Zune and I got it at such a great price, that I was able to purchase this car pack for less than what I would have spent on an iPod alone! When I first started using the transmitter, I thought that the sound was a little flat. Upon closer inspection, I realized it wasn't just flat, but had lots of static in the background. I tried many different frequencies to no avail (although, I did find that the closer I held the transmitter to my stereo, the better it worked-- but not much better).
I ended up going back to my iRiver FM transmitter that I bought for my previous mp3 player (it was $50 at the time). It plugs right into the headphone jack. The sound is so much clearer and sounds almost as good as a CD.
I figured the money on this car pack wasn't wasted because it included the car charger as well... until I realized that having the car charger plugged into the zune while listening to music using the transmitter causes some really strange feedback-like noises.
In all, I wouldn't really recommend this product. It doesn't work very well and there are MUCH better options out there as far as fm transmitters go.
