Love this thing. I love how the alarm has different presets for weekdays vs weekends, different days, whatever. It's so nice not to have to worry about turning the alarm on. The beeping gets progressively louder as time goes on, so i think it could easily wake a hard sleeper. Sound quality is decent. Just do yourself a big favor, and don't let your kids set their drink on it. A juice box killed my unit. So now I'm buying another one. Digital camera Review: Great Dock

This is a very good dock!!! The sound quality is great and it charges my Ipod while I listen to it. When I got it, the remote didn't come with it though so I called the seller and they said that they had had this problem many times and were going to send my a new one so I would be careful of that.Digital camera Review: Great purchase but remote was missing

That's it. The remote for the ihome wasn't in the box. The ihome is great - thereby three stars. Would have been 5 stars if remote had been included.
