I wanted to something to keep my cable short and out of the way. This unit does just that. I'm using this at near fully retracted to make a connection between my iPod and car's head unit. I purchased this cable knowing that it would be a bit short for my desk, heck... I wanted to use it to plug my ipod into my car USB charger. It is small. I'm happy with this retractable Ipod Touch cable. It does exactly as it should and the retraction still works; I've been careful pulling on the ends. Connection plug goes in snug and stays until I want to remove it. Computer and wall charger have not had any issues seeing the Ipod.Digital camera Review: Excellent value
