Digital camera Review: Not perfect, but close.

I received my iSkin today after seeing a friend who had the exact same on his iPod. It was definitely the best iPod case I had seen yet, and I did some searching to ensure that it was. Having read the reviews about the case, I ordered it from one of Amazons marketplace sellers and waited a little under 2 weeks for it to arrive (I ordered with iZoneDirect, which stated that the shipping could take anywhere from 4-10 days, and they were spot on).
Anyway, I knew what to expect, based on the other reviews and having seen the thing for myself being used on an actual iPod. It does a fantastic job completely covering the iPod, and its the best looking cover Ive seen yet. Ive read complaints that both the silicone body and clear plastic are hard to put in, attracts fingerprints which get stuck under the clear cover, etc... You would have to have very poor or NO fine motor skills to use this case. I work with an autistic boy and he could even do it, so forget about difficulty installing the thing. Its dead easy. I would also recommend taking the belt clip off, as it feels extremely cheap, and will break anyway if you do any sort of jogging/running with it. The manual says its meant to be used for "casual use only," i.e. walking around, running errands, etc.
It does attract lint, but not a ton, and the screen does attract fingerprints. The rubber covering the hold switch is an nuisance, and hate to say it, but ill probably just cut out the hole so I can access it. I doubt ill be going underwater with it anytime soon..... Its also a bit chunky, but not bad at all really. The silicone covering the scroll wheel is thin enough so you don't lose any sensitivity of the wheel, but thick enough so you know its not going to tear and will take constant use.
But to be really honest, you don't need this case unless you carry keys, knives, tons of coins, and other things that don't belong in the same pocket as your iPod. I used the bog standard iPod sleeve that came with it for 2 weeks, and theres not a scratch on the thing. Seriously folks, stop complaining that the iPod scratches easily when you put it in the same pocket as your keys!!!
Anyway, its best if you live in a busy city where you'll be keeping your iPod in a purse or bag or backpack alot. I bought mine because I'm going to London for 2 months and will have it in my bag alot. Ideally Id like to have no case and have the iPod be literally bulletproof, but sexy things are always so fragile....

The iSkin works exactly as advertised. The screen is fully protected and the clear plastic does not sit on the iPod. The clickwheel is also fully covered with thin neoprene. I didn't have any problems manipulating the clickwheel even while driving. I like the flap over the dock connector, but it's a little bit of a hassle to peel it back every time I want to plug in the connector for my car stereo.
First iPod protector after reading the extensive reviews and I'm really pleased.

I have had several different brands of iPod cases before I finally sucked it up and ordered an iSkin, and I can say without a doubt that iSkins are far superior to their competitors. Like a rubber skin, it is durable and easy to hold. However, the polymers used in the skin makes it resistant to getting all of those fuzzy things stuck to it, which is a big plus for me since my iPod is carried in several different bags. The screen protector hasn't gotten a scratch yet (after 4 months) and neither has my iPod's screen. It does a remarkable job of staying clean. I had to clean it for the first time the other day (after 4 months). The case completely covers everything, but has no extra junk so it fits nicely in your hand. The headphone opening works great with my Sony MDR150 headphones. I highly recommend this case.
