Digital camera reviews of iSkin eVo3 Eclipse Upgraded Athletic Protective Case for iPod with Video 30GB w/ Belt Clip

Digital camera Review: None of the attachments fit!
Summary: 1 Stars

Well, the pros - it looks cool, seems to protect well and the silicone cover for the click wheel actually works better when attached than without the cover.

But the cons FAR outweigh the pros. Unless you plan on only using Ipod brand headphones, don't bother with this product. Anything larger - connection for the car, connection to watch videos on the tv, etc. - they don't fit in the small space to plug it in. You have to take the top of the cover off to plug anything in. Docking stations also do not fit, because the flap on the bottom of the cover is extremely hard to hold back while plugging it in. Once you take the skin off, it's not that easy to put it on again!

I purchased this about 2 weeks ago, and I'm going today to buy a new cover. Absolutely not worth your money.

I would have rated it 2 stars, but I thought 1 was neccessary to effect the overall score.

Digital camera Review: Best Case!
Summary: 5 Stars

After reading tons of reviews for iPod cases, I finally decided on buying the iSkin eVo3. I have had a few other cases in the past and this one definitely surpasses all of them in quality, fit, and function.

The rubberized exterior not only provides great protection, it also gives the iPod much needed grip on smooth surfaces (or your lap). Before, my iPod would attempt to slide off my lap when driving in my car or even just sitting in a chair. Now, it stays put!

I have not used the belt clip much (I had to remove it for the unit to fit in my Kensington 500 A/V dock), but it was easy to remove after reading the directions.

Also, the skin is small enough to allow the iPod to still fit in the above mentioned dock as well as my Belkin TuneDok in my car.

Overall, I am very satisfied and highly recommend this product.

Digital camera Review: Good protection for the ipod
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the iSkin Eclipse, since i wanted something to match my black ipod video, & this one fit perfectly & provided complete protection through. It has the silicone case for the ipod's body, & the plastic case to protect the screen. The only drawback is that the silicone case attracts a lot of lint. However, the case is sweat resistant, & the pores at the back allows heat to release. Overall, it was a good buy, & after researching for good ipod cases, this was probably the best deal out there, especially from Amazon. Go for this, if you're looking for something to protect your ipod from any scratches.

Digital camera Review: Best cover out there
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently purchased a 30gb ipod and I have heard all of the horror stories about scratched screens. I did a little research and found out about these skins. The two piece cover fits the Ipod perfectly. The glass front completely protects the screen while the rubber outside almost makes the ipod waterproof except for the headphone jack. The case doesn't look like the standard ipod case so it makes it look like a completely different Ipod. You can't get a better case for the money or for more money

Digital camera Review: Perfect Fit
Summary: 5 Stars

I did a lot of research on iPod cases before choosing this case. I initially looked at the metal cases thinking they'd be stronger, but most of the reviews noted that the internal fits weren't always good, and you ended up scratching the iPod with the case itself. In the case of the iSkin eVo3, the case is a rubberized sleeve that the iPod snugly fits into, and then the clear cover fits in above it. It's a little hard to get the cover to fit in the channels the first time, but with a little work it's in and you never have to touch it again. The only negative to the case is that the hold button is completely covered and you have to set it 'through' the casing, which is a little tough, but very easy to acclimate to. I highly recommend this case if you have a video iPod.
