Sound is good, not spectacular....buttons are extremely hard to read they are just engraved in the brass should have been made much clearer to the consumer to see, and NO REMOTE CONTROL...which is the worse thing about this sterro system...Overall look and sound is good, but I would have not purchased if I knew no remote and hard to read buttons!!! I kept the system ...since the price was really good and didn't want to hassle sending it back!!!!Digital camera Review: Better than I thought it would be!

This is a really nice system. I was actually surprised to see how easy it was to put together. I put it together in about 15 minutes with no problems. I've been playing cassette tapes in this and haven't had a problem as I've seen a few others have had. Sounds pretty good too. This has got to be the best stereo system I've purchased in a long time. I absolutely love it! Looks great, sounds great, and has everything you need. I would definitely suggest this product to my family, friends, and anyone else who is interested in possibly buying a "nostalgic" system.
Also the service was A+++++ ... ordered it on Saturday with the free shipping option, and received it on a Wednesday.
Digital camera Review: Cool looking, great sounding

First, I ordered this on a Tuesday and got it two days later with the free shipping from Amazon--wow! Second, it was very easy for me to assemble and set up. Third, the music sounds GREAT! Fourth, it looks cool. I have a lot of Victorian furniture and this looks great with it. It actually looks like it was made for my Duncan Phyfe sofa and chairs!
Now, I'm not an audiohead (or whatever they call themselves) but I think it sounds great. We have another "real" stereo system (receiver, DVD, CD, etc.) in another room that does all kinds of fancy stuff (that I never do). But, I think this sounds just as well, and it doesn't take up too much room and looks far less out of place than today's stereo systems with the aforementioned Victorian furniture.
So, the price is great, the delivery is free and fast, you can't go wrong with this! I love being able to play my old records in style! Also, to the reviewer who commented about the CD player part, it will play one CD at a time--just be sure to put it in the tray 1 slot.

Initially, the player worked fine. It has an okay sound, nostalgic if you will. Two weeks after I bought it, the turntable is broken and I am returning it. The radio and cd player work okay though. I sent an email to the company and NEVER received a reply.
