Digital camera reviews of mobiBLU Cube2 2 GB Digital Multimedia Player (Black)Digital camera Review: Don't waste your time, its cute but frustrating Summary: 2 Stars
Its small and cute, and the fun stops there.
The buttons are hard to operate, they are small, and too close together.
The screen is so small, there's no point to having it bc you can't even read the name of a song.
God help you trying to do anything but let the music play, and skip a song; again, you might as well get a shuffle with no screen.
The video screen has a screen door effect, the video looks cruddy.
But all of this is secondary, because connecting this thing to your computer is where the troubles begin. It is NOT intuitive how to get the music on there, it doesn't synch with subscription music, even tho the manufacturer SAYS it does. In fact, connect this device to Yahoo Music, as I did, and that's when the device stopped working all together. After that it wouldn't even turn on.
I give this device the worst rating for any mp3 player I've ever had.
This is the very last straw, I'm going Apple from now on.
I've had
1. Rio Player 2001
2. Creative Zen Micro (Napster subscription)
3. TWO Toshiba Gigabeats (Yahoo subscription)
4. and now this piece of crappola-- the mobiBlu (who's user manual is written in asian sanscrit)
All of them had big problems with subscription music, all of them sucked.
Do yourself a favor, save your nerves, and succumb to the evil that is Apple iTunes.
I gave it 2 stars cuz its cute.
Digital camera Review: Excellent player Summary: 5 Stars
The video and picture quality on the OLCD screen is awesome for a tiny screen that size. You can dynamically see everything in every motion on its video option except if you are outside with it on sunny days. There is not one bit of distortion in its WOW HD sound so it sounds perfectly clear on every volume setting (1-30).The only thing that you might not find efficient is the battery life. It will last you all day but I recommend for you to charge it as consistently as you can. As a Wal-Mart electronics employee I do recommend this mp3 player by all means for customers whom are looking for a most comfortable, Portable and fashionable experience.
Digital camera Review: Feature packed and great sound quality in compact form Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using it for a couple days and I'm very pleased. I recorded my class lecture last night and was able to get a good recording quality for its small compact size. I tried to re-encode some video to play with this and was not able to get it work, but I didn't buy this to watch movies or anything like that so it is not an inconvenience. However, I did enjoy how the sample video looked so I may try it sometime later. Same thing with the image viewer.
The small screen is great though. You're able to see the time, battery life, icon that shows its in play, pause, stop mode, the filename/id3 tag (depends on your setting), which song file you're playing and the time sequence, all in that small screen without it looking so cluttered. It is a little hard to see when you're out in the sun, but setting the contrast level to high somewhat fixes this problem. Indoors, crystal clear.
Its other features include SRS, FM radio, podcast, and a lot more setting management than I would expect from this little thing. LCD display, contrast, scroll speed, alarm, auto power down for when sleeping, EQ bandwidth, FM auto search, fade in, and lots more.
Controls are as simple as anything out in the market and it's headphones deliver great quality sound. The best feature I enjoy that it is like a hard drive. Just drag and drop a file to any folder and that's it. No need for a program to set up your files for you.
Negatives is just encoding video, and that it can be easily lost when not wearing the necklace type headphones.
I bought this knowing of its small size and even smaller screen size. Screen size is about .5 inch by .5 inch and does not at all lessen the ease of navigation.
Digital camera Review: Flawed Product Gets 1 Star For Effort Summary: 1 Stars
I paid a lot of money for this and when I received it, it was defective and not working properly. The audio playback skipped and sounded choppy. The same day it completely stopped working and wouldn't even as much as power on.
I contacted the seller Jet Audio / Cowon America whom are just reselling thieves and they refused responsibility, refused a refund, refused to replace the unit, and instead referred me to Mobiblu America to have it repaired. Avoid purchasing from these nut sacks.
The first cubes we're fantastic. The Cube 2 is a piece of imported trash with chock full of problems. I won't even consider the forthcoming Cube 3 as it seems this company can't seem to get it right and keep them working.
Digital camera Review: Good compact device Summary: 3 Stars
This is a nice compact device. However, I had assumed that I could simply drag and drop music that had been purchased and downloaded from Walmart from my desktop PC. When trying to do this I got a message indicating that the encription of the file would be lost if dragged and dropped.
As a result, I needed to find another way to move music onto this device, using Microsoft Windows Media Player, running a conversion on the files.
