I really like the simplicity of this product. If you are buying for an aging person, just to get away from the current remotes with oodles of buttons, this is perfect. I bought this for my mother who has Alzheimer's and I still really need to label it for her. I had to write down a "demo" sheet for her with everything listed for her, and that helped. She can still scroll up and down and find shows she likes or wants to watch, and if she gets off too far from her regular stations, she can just hit "1,2 3 etc." as opposed to entering "504, 521, etc." Change can be a challenge, so in spite of it being way easier, it still took her a few days to get used to it. She doesn't like it that much, but I like that I don't get phone calls constantly regarding tv and channel issues. I think overall it is really a good option.
